Venue was lovely and historic. Had an extra large foyer with a beautiful staircase. The washroom was a tiny closet off the bar room. Didn't even realize it was a washroom at first. The staff were wonderful! The hors d'oeuvres were delicious and plentiful. We were there for a high school reunion with around 85 people and it was an excellent venue.
This place is wonderful. Beautiful building and rooms. Food is great. Staff is friendly. Wish I could have stayed longer. Only complaint is the noises carry. Could hear great room and any guest in the hall and odd noises in the bathroom.
Had lunch here. Ordered the seafood crepe with beet salad. Delicious. Service was great too.
No other way to say it. I love the Shadow Lawn Inn. The new restaurant (new several years ago) is trendy, serves exquisite fare, the staff are pleasant and engaging with just a hint of formality. Relax, be indulged. Enjoy a lunch or dinner, a glass of wine. When I am in Saint John, if it is possible at all, I dine or stay at the Shadow Lawn.
